🌸 Event Highlights:
🫖 Cold Brew Lychee Oolong
🥒 Jasmine Cucumber Green Tea
🔥 White Tea Hotpot
🧊 Iced Firepit Tea (Weilu Bīngchá)
Each recipe is crafted using iconic ingredients like jasmine, green tea, white tea, oolong, lychee, longan, red dates, osmanthus, and aged tangerine peel — evoking the elegance and warmth of East Asian tea culture.
📖 The Story Behind the Sip:
In the Tang Dynasty, lychees were a royal delicacy. But how did they reach the imperial city of Chang’an (modern-day Xi’an) so fresh and fast?
Lychees were transported from Fuzhou in Sichuan (now Fuling, Chongqing), traveling north via Ziwugu Trail, passing through Dali and Xixiang — a journey of nearly a thousand kilometers. Imperial couriers on horseback rode day and night to deliver them within three days. This famous route was known as the “Lychee Road.”
And along this path?
Some of China’s most revered tea-growing regions — Mengding Mountain in Sichuan, Chujian in Hubei — offered tea not only as a traveler’s companion, but as a fragrant backdrop to the lychee’s journey. It was a moving encounter between two of China’s most beloved tastes.
